Is miami fl, safe or not so safe?

i told my mom how i want to move or visit miami some day becuzz i absolutely love miami. but she said how some tourists from europe were killed in a club or near a club becuzz they were getting robbed or something and i dont want that to happen to me. i do know spanish well and i heard so many bad things about how rude miami people are and the traffic but i dont care. im from up north and i also heard how racist the cubans are toward whites (im white) is this all true? and please give some info thanksIs miami fl, safe or not so safe?
Haha, i love the way people stereotype Miami. I've lived here for 15 years, and no, Miami isn't so bad.

I lived in central florida when I was younger, and I can assure, miami is by far the best place i've lived in.



Cubans in general are not at all rude or racist against americans. If a person decides to be "rude" it's a matter of why that person is being rude to you, but you cant generalize the entire cuban population. People also believe that Miami is full of cubans when in reality, yes there are maaaany cubans. But you find people from many, many cultures.

One of my closests friends and his family is irish, you can also find alot of chinese and korean people here. MANY brazilians, and many many many french people. There are many "whites" from up north that totally love it here! You just have to know where to be at.



of course, any large city like miami has it's good and bad areas. The farther you go south, the better the area is. (with the exception of aventura, of course. but you can consider that part of broward as it's borderline hollywood)



Many parts of miami, such as little haiti, overtown, north miami, brownsville, are very very bad areas. Farther south you reach downtown, which is pretty safe, seeing as how it's very business oriented. Also, there's brickell (beautiful) and coconut grove (north grove isn't so great, south grove is BEAUTIFUL) little havana, which is where I suppose all the cubans live, and then south miami, along with kendall, and all the surrounding suburbs. farther south is homestead and the redlands which is all pretty much farmland haha



just because a few tourists were robbed, doesnt mean everyone gets robbed lol i've never been robbed at all.



the traffic is pretty shitty, though. especially on US-1. but eventually you get used to it, and you find your way around.

You're going to find people getting robbed in any urban area, it's not only Miami. People in Miami CAN be rude, but not everyone is. I'm Cuban-American and I've never encountered Cubans being racist towards white people. I'm sure if you come, there will be someplace that you feel comfortable. There are all different types of people here. The traffic is HORRIBLE though.Is miami fl, safe or not so safe?
they are rude and the traffic sucks and cubans are racist as hell but.. whatever. you'll get robbed anywhere so might as well make it miami. ive lived here all my life (28 years) and havent been robbed yet. go figure.Is miami fl, safe or not so safe?
