What city/suburb within an hour or two of Miami has these characteristics?

Nice beach that's not too hard to get to. People that are educated (like software engineers etc) but not overly snooty/megarich. Fairly liberal. Plenty of people in their 20s and 30s and families, and not all retired people. A university nearby would also be good. Lots of fun things to do, like nice streets to walk around, cafes, parks, nice architecture. Please let me know if this sounds like anywhere you know!What city/suburb within an hour or two of Miami has these characteristics?
That is a tougher question then you would think;

Miami Beach, near South Beach, has everything but l doubt if you could afford to live there. Rent is sky high. No college that close.

Doral; Except it is not near the beach.

Key Largo; Getting expensive and a tough commute into Miami.

Boca Raton; a slightly older crowd %26amp; at least a 1+ hour ride via I-95 into MiamiWhat city/suburb within an hour or two of Miami has these characteristics?
Fort Lauderdale has all of the characteristics posted in the question.

Try Downtown Fort Lauderdale

Nice Street with shopping: Las Olas Boulevard (main thoroughfare)

Crowd: Mixed but lots of young people

Colleges: Broward College and FAU

Cafes: Las Olas Boulevard

Beach: Within 2 miles
