Right now they have two jokes for point guards. Forcing miami to play a 3 man game. Do you think things will change for the heat and they'll become the best in the east or will Bibby not add much dynamics to the offense. While I do think having a good PG who can handle the ball very well with playoff experience and shooting in a half court set in Mike Bibby will help them in leaps and bounds, the first answerer was also on point saying that Spoelstra still has to give them plays now (like he doesn't) and implement an actual refined offensive system in the halfcourt for them to survive, no team can rely on fullcourt back to back play and steals like the Heat have.If Bibby signs with Miami will they become the most dangerous team in the east with a legit point guard?
I still think they need to work on their half court offense during close game. Wade and lebron will still have the ball in their hand and spoelstra needs to figure out plays to run in close game when the game slows down or else they won't go far even with a true pg. Either lebron or wade or both need to let something go for this team to truly be great. They need to sacrifice self glory to win a championship.
I would not overstate Bibby's contributions at this stage of his career. Even though he is a great shooter he is only getting about 4.5 assists per game. Not exactly dynamic. His defense is slightly worse than Chalmers however i don't expect him to make so many mistakes as Chalmers. I think you are thinking too highly of Mike Bibby. Atlanta thought Kirk Hinrich was a much better option at PG, and Hinrich isn't even one of the top 25 PGs in the league.



Bibby is a very, very small piece trying to fix a big, big hole.
