You park right at the port. There is a parking lot right in front of the Royal Caribbean terminal. The cost is about $20 per day. Here's a web link for the Port of Miami so you can check to see what the latest price is: http://www.miamidade.gov/portofmiami/cru…

This is from the port web site web site:

"Parking is available in facilities located in front of individual cruise terminals. No reservations are required to park at the Port of Miami. Long-term parking for a regular vehicle occupying a single space is $20 per day. Short term parking is $7.00 if you are coming to see someone off but, not intended for overnight parking. All Cruises in the current itineraries would fall under Long Term Parking.

Rates will vary for larger vehicles (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers). If the vehicle is over 20’ in length then an additional $20.00 is added per day. Therefore, these larger (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers) cost $40.00 per day and all oversized vehicles can only park in Lot #2.

Currently garages C, G, J, and Lot # 2 accept either cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express only), or any major U.S. Travelers check. "

You didn't say what cruise ship you will be on or what itinerary you will be doing so I can't make recommendations for things to do other than enjoy all of the things on ship. You can look at the activities and layout of your ship on the RC's web site:

Just find your ship on the listing and click on the virtual tour.Driving from STL to Miami, going on Royal Cariibean Cruise, where do i park my car while on trip?
lol--most people tell me I'm long winded. I've never been told my answers are too short before.

I would suggest going down a day early and staying at one of the many hotels that let you leave your car for free while you cruise and they will also take you to the pier and bring you back. Try the Hampton suites. They are reasonable and give you a nice breakfast.Driving from STL to Miami, going on Royal Cariibean Cruise, where do i park my car while on trip?
OMG. A 20 hr drive?? Yeah a flight would have to be really outrageously expensive. I'd avoid that drive at all cost personally.

Anyway, if your cruise leaves Sunday you'll have to leave first thing Friday. Drive all day Fri, stay the night past Atlanta. Drive all day Sat to Miami and spend the night in the hotel. That way you can board first thing Sunday. Many hotels in the area will let you park your car.

I often stay at Hampton Inns. My last cruise I stayed at Ft Lauderdale Airport North. It's $30 to park your car there for the week. The cruise before that I went out of Port Canaveral and the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach let me keep my car there for a week for free but the shuttle was $20 to the port.

As for things to do in Miami, they offer shore excursions. I recommend instead doing something in the everglades. First, it will get you a good 8 hrs up the road first so then you could spend the afternoon in the Everglades. The next day you'll be able to make it the rest of the way home.
the parking garage is right across the street from the port.
