I will be visiting Miami for the first time for a few days and was wondering what are some must see attractions near the South Beach area? It would be some time in January (during the weekdays) Im looking for some good daytime things to do. I'd like to have a relaxing %26amp; fun time. Any suggestions? Good places to eat? How is the weather like during that time of year? Would I need a rental car if staying in that area? Thank you for your help :)Things to do near South Beach, Miami for 3 day trip?
There is an art exhibit there. it's really nice i went there yesterday. There are many good places to eat just pick one that you think sounds the most interesting. Also, the beaches are fun and nice. idk if they're actually IN miami but probably just a short drive from it.Things to do near South Beach, Miami for 3 day trip?
during the day the best thing to do is walk around the beach, tan, chill on a lounge chair. go to Lincoln road, Quattro is a nice italian rest. or you can try pelican cafe on ocean drive. no car is needed if you are staying on south beach, parking is expensive and scarce. everything is walking distance. you can rent a bike and see more of the deco district. smith and wollensky is my fav. for steaks people like prime 112 but honestly it is just a place to be seen, sushi samba on lincoln is good for interesting sushi as is bond street. There are tons of things to do. You can jog the beach, visit the art gallery, eat at many restaurants and watch a movie at the theater. If you're staying on South Beach for only 3 days, no car is needed. Be aware that South Beach is more like a peninsula so you can walk kind of far for some places but it beats finding parking or paying the valet. Here are a few things nearby:
*Restaurants (best thing to do is ask around)
*Movie theater
*Shops (Gap, Lucky, American Apparel it's all there)
*CVS and Walgreens (but no Wal Mart)
*And did I mention a beach full of hot people???

There are soo many things to do!
First off, in Miami- you must visit South Beach. The beach primarily. However, Lincoln Road Mall which is an open air mall over 8-10 blocks. Fantastic little restaurants, cafes, stores, speciality shops you won't find anywhere in the world. Its a fantastic place to sit and people watch. You get the "real" feeling for the fabulousness of South Beach- its a MUST. You can truly spend a good half day there. Also, if you want a truly touristic spot to grab a drink and get the latin flavor of Miami go to Mangos on Ocean Drive (which is also another great little place to walk during the day and catch a great bite to eat). Mangos located on between 8th and 9th on Ocean Drive. I recommend Nexxt Cafe or Pizza Rustica. Night life is SPECTACULAR on South Beach...Great Clubs/Bars= Mansion/Crobar/Nikki Beach-(this is a great place to spend Sunday afternoons)
In Key West, Duval Street is a MUST. You must also have some fresh seafood from Key West its the best! John pennekamp in Key Largo is also a great place if you want to go scuba diving or snorkling. However, I would recommend "FURY" in Key West- they offer packages, which are pretty reasonably priced. The Sunset Festival at the end of Duval Street is a must watch. Key West is known for its sunsets. The drive to Key West, is spectacular, try to leave Miami early in the morning so that you can see it during daylight. The seven mile bridge is a sight for the eyes, its beautiful! Also, visit Mallory Square in Key West- GREAT FUDGE store there.
Orlando is FULL of things to do. Disney World is a MUST, Epcot Center, and all Disney Parks. However, if you want a GREAT water park- WET n WILD. Also, catching dinner at Bongo's in Downtown Disney (which is a great place to end your trip in Orlando, nice cafes, super fun shopes and the best chocolate factory!) All Disney parks are def. worth the money you spend.
I hope this helps!
