Family fun in Miami?

My husband and I and our 6 month old son are going to Miami in August. Are there any fun things in Miami that we can do with our son? We are very interested in cultural events/activities, shopping, site seeing, and good food. Will we need to rent a car or is it possible to use public transportation with a stroller and car seat? We're only going to be there for 2 days before our cruise ship leaves.Family fun in Miami?

You defiantly have to hit Biscayne bay a.k.a bay side. Its very beautiful and you can find a lot of different ethnic backgrounds. Music, food, stores, clubs, beach and all you can think of. I hope you enjoy it a lot =)Family fun in Miami?
This depends upon where you are staying in the Miami because it's a very large area. Your hotel probably has some great tips on nearby attractions and can point you in the right direction. Give them a call and see what's up.

Go to brownsville liberty city,or carol city, or you can try going to overtown....goodluck
Rent a car, most of the things you will want to see will not be on the metrorail - the bus system is huge and complicated.
