Is it hard to get into good clubs in Miami?

Me and a few of my friends are going for Spring Break(March 17th-23rd). We absolutely wanna go to some of the famed clubs like Mansion, Pearl, etc... How hard is it to get in, and what are the best nights to go and/or the easiest nights to get in?

Any other suggestions for fun/cheap things to do in Miami would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Is it hard to get into good clubs in Miami?
Nope not really but it has a lot to do with the way you look and the crowd you are with. You might still have to wait in line but if you and your crowd is hot and dress really nice most of the times you can cut the line.Is it hard to get into good clubs in Miami?
Weather 'round here chopping and changing

Surgery in the air

Print shirts and southern accents

Cigars and big hair

We got the wheels - petrol's cheap

We only went there for a week

Got the sun - got the sand

Got the batteries in the handycam

Dumb-bells on a diving board

Baby's always attracted to the things she's afraid of

Big girl with the sweet tooth

Love the movies - love to walk through the movie sets

Get to shoot someone in the foot

Get to smoke some cigarettes

No big deal - we know the score

Just back from the video store

Got the car and the car chase

What's he got inside the case?

I want a close up of that face

Here comes the car chase

I bought two new suits - Miami

Pink and blue - Miami

I took a picture of you - my mammy

I said you looked like a Madonna

You said maybe

Said I want to have your baby, baby, baby

We could make something beautiful

Something that wouldn't be a problem

  • What are some of the cool clubs things to do in Miami Fl . this spring break?

If you are going to Miami for spring break, you better bring some change.

Most college kids pass on Miami because it is extremely expensive. I would actually place it up there with Cabo when it comes to cost.

Most kids either go to Panama City or Fort Lauderdale, although more are going to Texas, Mexico or the Caribbean these days anyways.

But if you are going to Miami, you can try Mansion, LIV, Mynt.

The one problem though is Spring Break is insane in Miami when it comes to crowds. Major weekends like memorial day are the same way. This can impact you when it comes to these clubs because the clubs are strict when it comes to capacity. Once they reach capacity they are shut and let me just say...they know they will hit capacity early in the night, so they are extra selective with who they let in. If you have a group of guys, you aren't getting in -- simple as that. Usually even bottle service is booked. Its a major issue during spring break. The whole idea oh if I have a girl, I can get in doesnt fly either during this time because everyone is doing that.

My only suggestion is to make sure you dont have more than 2 -3 guys in a group (split up) and go there somewhat early (11pm). If wont really get packed to midnight - 12:30am, and you might have been able to get in.

Also, when in line, you will find many groups of girls dont know what to do and get in line too...try taking the group to the bouncer and say you are with them...if you look the part and theres room, chances of getting in are increased.

You can also try more second tier bars and lounges, they tend to be a little bit more accessible.

compare that to fort lauderdale, where there are tons of small bars and not as much "high-end" stuff that requires bottle service etc. - more popular with the college kids. What are some of the cool clubs things to do in Miami Fl . this spring break?
Miami beach or South Beach are always full of people during spring break, the clubs and bars are right next to the beach so there's lots to do.What are some of the cool clubs things to do in Miami Fl . this spring break?
Fort Lauderdale is better for Spring Break. South Beach isn't as good a location.

What the best place to hear dancehall and/or reggae in Miami on Memorial Day?

Traveling to Miami from Sunday to Tuesday this week and need to find a good dancehall and/or place to go any one of those night but preferably Monday night which is Memorial Day.

Also if you know any other great things to do in Miami that a travel book wouldn't tell me about, let me know. What the best place to hear dancehall and/or reggae in Miami on Memorial Day?
By far, the best night of the weekend for dancehall will be directly following the Best of the Best concert that's going down at Bicentennial Park. ALL of the top reggae artists will be performing live and of course... partying after the event!

So far the official after parties that I know about are: BONGOS Cuban Cafe in the back of the American Airlines Arena (walking distance from the concert) and VOYAGE Ultra Lounge which is in Brickell (66 sw 6 st)

Both parties will have the performers from the concert performing again at the venues.

A bit of a distance from the usual Memorial Weekend festivities is Bayside Hut in Key Biscayne. I love going there for dancehall, bashment, and reggae.

Things to do in Miami at age 16?

Like fun attractions to see or do in Miami during the summer for my birthday (:

I'm probably going to have 5 of my friends with me. So things to keep us occupied.

Best Hotels? Beaches...Shopping...Things to do in Miami at age 16?
New Parrot Jungle is probably worth checking it out. Miami Seaquarium, while it is not my favorite aquarium in the country, provides another alternative although I'm sure it won't impress you at all if you've been to any other ones. A better alternative probably would be across the causeway from Parrot Jungle - the Miami Children's Museum.

But if animals are your thing, then I recommend Metrozoo over Miami Seaquarium. You could try to see both.

There's a children theater company that meets sometimes in Coral Gables to perform. http://www.miamichildr.../

There's also an Indian Village he could check out west of Miami - the Miccosukee Indian Village.

For arcades, there's Gamework. But I think he's a bit too young for that.

For swimming (hopefully it won't be too "cold" for swimming for your son), the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is also a good choice or any of the beaches in Miami (the most children friendly beach is supposed to be the one by Crandon Park in Key Biscayne due to its shallow waters. But considering his age, he probably would be happier seeing cartoons than caring for a nice pool.

For child's fun, Wannado City in Sawgrass Mils by Ft. Lauderdale would be another good choice - it is where kids can play as role models - police officer, chef, etc.

Other suggestions I would give are storytelling events at libraries and bookstores. Barnes %26amp; Nobles and Book %26amp; Book (check out the Coral Gables location - great environment) offers children events.

If you are worried about distance (especially since cars aren't recommended to have in Miami Beach), then the closest attractions by taxi (as in within 15 minutes from South Beach) would be the Parrot Jungle, Miami Children's Museum, the Miami Seaquarium %26amp; the Miami Science Museum.

The only three things I can think of that's good for kids in Miami Beach is a little water playground in Flamingo Park and the North Shore Park and the Scott Rakow Youth Center.

North Shore Park features "Saturday Express," a day of fun-filled activities such as athletics and arts and crafts. Bring the participant report card to register. Also at North Shore, A Nature Club is open for 3rd to 6th graders and includes field trips, lectures, eco-adventures and arts and crafts.North Shore also offers dance classes for teens and a Chess club.

Scott Rakow Youth Center, which is closer to South Beach, has a children's swim team, a bowling alley and a Family Day on Saturday and Sunday, which is free to residents and $20 for non-residents (excludes entry to ice skating rink). The Scott Rakow Youth Center offers a full service afterschool program, including music lessons, gymnastics, basketball, hockey, swimming, and figure skating. The center is located on Sheridan Avenue in South Beach.

I have been to KW...a lot of fun, one of the coolest thing was the sunset at Mallory Square. They have a lot of street performers that do some pretty neat stuff. Duval Street is a lot of fun and if you are into art there is a lot of that stuff too. The drag show was pretty funny, but also creepy at the same time. The beaches, or lack there of, kind of suck.

By far the coolest thing was snorkeling. It was AWESOME. Get a disposal underwater camera. The place we went with was great. Took about an hour to get out, an hour in the water, and about an hour back.

We walked everywhere, stayed in a bed-n-bkfst, and had a blast. They have a few military type attractions too. An old WWII ship, and you can tour Fort Zachary Taylor (i think that was the name). They have some aquarium shops too with sharks and a little area where you can pick up sea urchins and sea cucumbers. Don't forget to go to the southernmost point! That's about all I can think of. Anyone else getting sick of this election?

Ok, first, this looks long, but I swear, its a very cool story. Lol I have some rambling at first, but then theres a very interesting story so please bear with me :)

So...I mean, really, there is so much negative campaigning, from both sides. I'm a firm Obama supporter, but still, I hate seeing these ads from him that go on about how McCain is a horrible person. And I've seen even more from the other side. In fact, almost all of McCain's ads against Obama (that I've seen) seem to attack his character more than his policies.

And i hate this. I believe both men are good people, and though I don't agree with McCain's policies at all, I don't believe he is a bad man. And I hate when people call Obama a terrorist, or say he is a muslim--As if that's a bad thing!! Come on, yeah, the terrorists in 9/11 were muslim, but that's horrible to think any muslim is a terrorist. Anyway, wow, totally getting off track from my point.

Lol, so I thought, with all this negativity, why not a nice story? One that shows humanity? And this is totally true, I swear. Its from a very reputable norwegian newspaper (kinda like Washington Post/NY Times).

    So, english translation:

Mary lacked money to fly home to Norway 鈥?he saved her love

脜SG脜RDSTRAND (VG): Mary was a newlywed and ready to move to Norway, but was stopped at the airport because she didn鈥檛 have enough money for the trip. Then a stranger turned up and paid for her.

Mary Menth Andersen was 31 years old at the time and had just married Norwegian Dag Andersen. She was looking forward to starting a new life in 脜sg氓rdstrand in Vestfold with him. But first she had to get all of her belongings across to Norway. The date was November 2nd, 1988.

At the airport in Miami things were hectic as usual, with long lines at the check-in counters. When it was finally Mary鈥檚 turn and she had placed her luggage on the baggage line, she got the message that would crush her bubbling feeling of happiness.

-You鈥檒l have to pay a 103 dollar surcharge if you want to bring both those suitcases to Norway, the man behind the counter said.

Mary had no money. Her new husband had travelled ahead of her to Norway, and she had no one else to call.

-I was completely desperate and tried to think which of my things I could manage without. But I had already made such a careful selection of my most prized possessions, says Mary.

Although she explained the situation to the man behind the counter, he showed no signs of mercy.

-I started to cry, tears were pouring down my face and I had no idea what to do. Then I heard a gentle and friendly voice behind me saying, That鈥檚 OK, I鈥檒l pay for her.

Mary turned around to see a tall man whom she had never seen before.

-He had a gentle and kind voice that was still firm and decisive. The first thing I thought was, Who is this man?

Although this happened 20 years ago, Mary still remembers the authority that radiated from the man.

-He was nicely dressed, fashionably dressed with brown leather shoes, a cotton shirt open at the throat and khaki pants, says Mary.

She was thrilled to be able to bring both her suitcases to Norway and assured the stranger that he would get his money back. The man wrote his name and address on a piece of paper that he gave to Mary. She thanked him repeatedly. When she finally walked off towards the security checkpoint, he waved goodbye to her.

The piece of paper said 鈥楤arack Obama鈥?and his address in Kansas, which is the state where his mother comes from. Mary carried the slip of paper around in her wallet for years, before it was thrown out.

-He was my knight in shining armor, says Mary, smiling.

She paid the 103 dollars back to Obama the day after she arrived in Norway. At that time he had just finished his job as a poorly paid community worker* in Chicago, and had started his law studies at prestigious Harvard university.

In the spring of 2006 Mary鈥檚 parents had heard that Obama was considering a run for president, but that he had still not decided. They chose to write a letter in which they told him that he would receive their votes. At the same time, they thanked Obama for helping their daughter 18 years earlier.

In a letter to Mary鈥檚 parents dated May 4th, 2006 and stamped 鈥楿nited States Senate, Washington DC鈥? Barack Obama writes**:

鈥業 want to thank you for the lovely things you wrote about me and for reminding me of what happened at Miami airport. I鈥檓 happy I could help back then, and I鈥檓 delighted to hear that your daughter is happy in Norway. Please send her my best wishes. Sincerely, Barack Obama, United States senator鈥?

The parents sent the letter on to Mary.

This week VG met her and her husband in the caf茅 that she runs with her friend Lisbeth Tollefsrud in 脜sg氓rdstrand.

-It鈥檚 amazing to think that the man who helped me 20 years ago may now become the next US president, says Mary delightedly.

She has already voted for Obama. She recently donated 100 dollars to his campaign.

Should I leave my boyfriend of 2 years if he cheated on me?

Okay so, Im really in love with someone at the moment. Unfortunately He has done me wrong. I was married because It was good for me economically, and I had no supporters. My husband was a great man until I found out that he was engaged to 3 women at the same time and was using the millitary money to buy other women jewelry. I stayed home all day with my cousin and I just hoped that I could one day return back to Florida. I left my boyfriend of two years I still loved him, he just took me for granted. I came back to Florida and we had decided to give it a second try. So I got a full paid scholarship to New York city and I went to become a certified nursing assistant, and then study to become a registered nurse. One day out of the open he starts telling me that , If he had the opportunity to cheat on me that he would. I later get a text message form a girl telling me that she has been sleeping with my boyfriend and that hes been seeing her for about 2 months. I didn't believe her, and I didn't mention anything to him until a month later. she texted me from his phone and told me to leave him alone, and that she was his new girlfriend. Not to mention that I am the one who pays for the phone bill. I blamed myself for everything that was going on, because I thought that maybe if I was still in miami things would of been different. I DIDNT have family at all, because Im a foster kid, and so the scholarship was truly a blessing. I couldnt focus in school so they dropped me out of the state university there. I moved back to Miami, And I didnt come out of my condo for a week in Miami, and lost 20 lbs. I dont know what to do because he tells me that he loves me, but that he says that he wanted to try something new. He told me that he only wanted a companion because he was feeling lonely. I retaliated and told him that I have been aloen for all of my life, but people never wanted excuses from me. People Just wanted Results!!

But She forwarded me all the text msgs and she said that he told her that he is tired of me, because I leave him all alone In miami, but I did it because The bills will not get paid if I dont work, cuz I had lost my job down here, and I did everything I could do to possibly keep him happy.

He told me that he thought that I was going to just leave and that he didnt think that I had deserved him. Because he is too much of a good man for me to handle. That I dont have a family, but I use it too my advantage.

I don't feel sorry for myself, because My life isn't about feeling sorry for myself, every day in my life was a disappointment before I met him and I got my life together. I just never expected him to do this to me. Because even though I did love him with all of my heart I know I didnt deserve this. Ive always had to work hard for everything and lived in allot of homes, and yet I never complained about it because I had to grow up a long time ago and I never had a childhood.

So he told me that if it didn't work out with her that he would forever be committed to me. So I am so devastated I didn't know what to say and just hung up. And now he is begging me to come back to him, because he realized that he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. But yet he is telling me that he is commited to me, but doesnt plan on marrying me until 3 years from now.

he puts a hold on everything, because hes scared of being hurt. And I dont know what to do anymore, because I have been hurt all of my life. and Its hard to remember the good moments, and I cant talk to anyone because He was my only friend. So Your advise would help.

Thank u!Should I leave my boyfriend of 2 years if he cheated on me?
He cheated......He's gone.....No further particulars required .....You're Welcome! Take care of YOU, and ENJOY...... 鈾モ櫏Should I leave my boyfriend of 2 years if he cheated on me?
I only read the title line... he cheated, get rid of him. There is NO excuse for cheating.
Tell him to go screw himself, and refuse to wait in the background. Gawd, this guy is a total louse, just get him OUT of your life!

There's a lot of far better men out there, go find one!Should I leave my boyfriend of 2 years if he cheated on me?
I found this website that I think is right up your ally. It has some great advice on all sorts of things, but the link I'll share with you is a blog entry from some counselor? These tips and methods are for getting your ex back, saving your marriage, and stopping a divorce.

I thought it just might be what you were looking for and I hope this helps for your situation.

    Check it out!

I know everyone is different and each situation is also totally unique, but I figured it was relevant for this particular situation.

Only you can make this decision. If you want to make it work, than go for that, but make sure you make some points clear. Tell him that yes, for awhile you aren't going to be able to trust him very much. Then make it clear that if you want to check his phone, or whatever to clear your mind that you feel that should be okay. See if he agrees. Granted, don't check it all the time, because then he will just clear it constantly. Instead if he agrees to this, then wait a couple weeks to a month before checking it for the first time with him knowing about it. Otherwise if you don't feel right in the relationship because you can't trust him then do yourself a favor and walk away now.Should I leave my boyfriend of 2 years if he cheated on me?
Make new friends, get a new boyfriend who know what he wants. This guy you believe you love isn't honest with you or himself. He needs to grow up and you need to see other men. Date all you want, but don't get seriously involved with anyone for a few years. Find yourself first.
I agree with "inkmepre..." comment!!!!!! Best Answer by a long shot!!!

Walk away girl. there's no love here. never was. never will be.

BTW, how old are you? Take some time to grow up. Put all that energy into yourself.
Did this story bore anyone else after the first three line's?

    *YAWN* Dump him!!
Get a new life going for yourself. You are too wrapped up in this guy and not thinking CLEARLY. Go back to school and dump the bum!
I he cheated on you, definitely. If he did it once, most likely at some point he will do it again or something else that goes against your trust. nd he doesn't sound like a decisive about anything, which means you are always the one waiting while he tries to figure out what he wants to do. That's not good for you. You are setting yourself up for heartbreak. He sounds like you like him, i think you c remain friends. But if he can't be more, then you shouldn't be either. Move on, and if the stars somehow align later in life, then ok. Never wait.
i could not read that whole thing...wow! If he cheated, then leave him, there is no good reason for cheating.
My god...this guy is an a**hole. Please leave him...please...if he honestly truly cared for you and about you he wouldn't have put u through all this. U've been through soo much in ur life...u deserve better. U deserve someone who won't use ur past against you. Someone who will cherish you. Let him go sweety...he's not worth one more tear tear. If you need someone to talk to I can give u my e-mail addy if you like. (we have had similar lives) Once a cheated always a cheater, remember that.
It sounds as though he is using you and only finds the relationship with you convenient and takes advantage of it. In my opinion I don't think it's worth it. It sounds that you have put a lot of effort into the relationship and you just get sh*t on by him. What human being with any kind of morals would talk the way he did about you and then let the woman that he is cheating on you with text you from his phone? AND you pay the bill? My advice would be to find somebody that appreciates you for who you are and doesn't walk all over you. Oh and he is too much of a good man for you? Seriously? That is ridiculous. I hope that you can move on and find somebody better. Good Luck!
if it didnt work w/ her hed be committed to you??/ are you kidding? are you not worth more than that? take your new found education and experience and CREATE your own life. So... buddy gets tired of the girl he cheated w/ and wants you back? then gets tired of you goes back to her or finds a new one.

You are worth more than that. Keep saying it yourself until you belive it
you said, he's afraid of being hurt!! so what? does that give him free reine to hurt you??? this is crazy!!! this must be bad boyfriend/husband day. i've seen all these post about, how much these women are hurting because of their sorry azz men. i just don't get it!!! it's one thing thing to be in a terrible relationship, but to go back to a guy that was once engaged to 3 women, that's bordering on stupidity!!! i just dont get it!

there are far too many good men out here, for us to settle for these losers! men mistreat us because we allow them to. we keep going back, let them disrespect us, mistreat us, and then we go back!!!

how can we expect anything better if we don't demand it! we deserve to be treated better than this, and if were not willing to stand up for ourselves, know one is going too stand with us.

just because you don't have family, doesn't mean you have to settle for anyone or any treatment. i'm not saying, things are going to be easy, but please love yourself enough too not go through this. you'll

find another man, you can even find a good man, but if you're willing to go through these hard times it will become easier.

    good luck
Drop that zero and get with a hero. Whatever that means. Honestly, I didn't read your question since it was very long. Oh well, better days.

Fun morning things to do in Miami?

Hi...me and my friends and I will be in Miami from about 7am to 1pm on a Monday on a morning this summer. We will have a rental car and can go about anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas for a group of six people aged 26-39 to do in such a short amount of time before they have to board a cruise? Or ideas of where we can have an excellent breakfast?Fun morning things to do in Miami?
Best choices before a cruise......go over to South Beach, park at the 7th street garage and eat at the News Cafe. Typical breakfast type food and won't break the bank Then you can stroll and watch the beautiful people and check out the gorgeous beach. Wanna stay close to downtown?? Go over the bridge at Brickell and head down to the Grove.....many places to eat, the biggest Starbucks you've ever seen and some shopping/strolling.Fun morning things to do in Miami?

    Things to do in Miami?

I am going to be in Miami this weekend. What are some interesting things to do?? I am going to be staying on Collins Street.Things to do in Miami?
Are you renting a car? If so, there are so many places to go, and interesting things to see. It all depends on what inteests you. One beautiful spot to see is Viscaya palace and gardens. It's a furnished mansion you walk through, complete with art and decorated in the Renaissance style. The grounds are adorned with gardens and fountains. Another nice place is Venetian Pools in Coral Gables. It's a pool placed ina coral cove with a small sandy beach, little caves and waterfalls. You can spend the day in the Everglades and do the airboat ride and alligator thing...

If you like animals, you can visit Parrot Jungle Island, Miami MetroZoo, or Monkey Jungle. If you like plants, Fairchild Tropical Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. If you like shopping then Bayside market Place is a nice place to go..and now there is a new attraction there called The "Miami Skylift" where a balloon takes up about 30 people and you can view all of Miami from up there. If you're in the Redlands, check out Schnebly's Winery...you can take a tour and sample their wines in their new wine tasting room. All the wine is made from the tropical fruits grown on the premises.

If you're just staying by your hotel, then you can enjoy our beautiful beaches. Lincoln Road has great shops, restaurants, and museums. At night, check out all the hot nightclubs.

My husband, our child and husbands family are going on a Cruise in January... We will be staying in Miami for a few nights before hand. what are some awesome things we can do there? I looked up the Zoo and the Seaquarium... but what OTHER fun things can we do? Are there anything around where we can swim with the dolphins?Fun things to do in Miami FL?
Okay, well you can swim with dolphins in the Seaquarium - look the site up again. It mentions prices and reservations.

If you're looking for something else, parasailing and jetskiing are popular. You can always look into tours - a good one to check out is Star Island - area where Shaq and Hogan live? It's a gated community so it's the only way you can actually see the houses without actually living there.

Also another cool tour is the airboat tour of the Everglades - a notorious national park and filled with interesting animals - you really are guaranteed to see a gator.

Watch out for South Beach - depending on the age of your child, it's the nicest beach, I won't lie. However it's also the only legal topless beach on the east coast - and people will actually be topless. If you'd rather a family-oriented beach, check out Key Biscayne - their Crandon Park is nice enough. Has palm trees on the beach and it makes things interesting/fun to check out. It's no South Beach, but at least it's not R-rated.Fun things to do in Miami FL?
If you are considering the Seaquarium, please look into Jungle Island instead. And don't go to Bayside; it's just a mall!Fun things to do in Miami FL?
You can go to Bayside.. it's an outdoor mall right next to the port. Very nice..or you can go to the beach.

Cheap/free things to do in Miami?

My boyfriend and I will be in Miami the day before and the day after our cruise in June. For people on a budget, what are some fun things to do in Miami that aren't too expensive? We are staying near Port of Miami/Miami Beach.Cheap/free things to do in Miami?
Go to South Beach, the most famous place in the Miami area, walk around, look at all the gorgeous people and chic hotels. Walk around Lincoln Road too in South Beach and look at the chic stores and clubs. It really has turned into America's riviera, there are many cool places to eat lunch and dinner at.

If you want a Second Destination go to Coconut Grove in Miami and look around the stores and shops, it is very nice.

You can go to Calle Ocho, or 8th Street (little Havana) to see the heart of Cuban culture in the United States, and eat at one of the great restaurants. Cuban food is delicious

If you want to see a gorgeous old mansion that is now a gardens and museum (but it has an admission fee) visit the Vizaya near Coconut Grove.Cheap/free things to do in Miami?

Miami is always the favorite vacation destination for all who like travel exposure. Miami beaches, Cruises, night life events, festivals all will attract peoples more and more each year. The rental car agencies proving good services in these areas to reach the destinations, and even they start assist from international Airport(MIA).

Check out Bayside MarketPlace downtown Miami on Biscayne Blvd.

A lot of shops, live entertainment and boats that take you around star island.

Bike Miami Day is free and the next one is October 4th in downtown Miami. Free music, free yoga, etc. You don't need a bike to be part of the festivities. Also the 1st Friday of the month in Coral Gables you can see live music, visit the galleries, etc. Same thing happens for free in the Design District and Little Havana but on the other weekends. Info available online. Another fun thing to do that is free is VOLUNTEERING. There are many causes out there that could use your help. Check out Hands On Miami or VolunteerMatch.com for info. At UM and MDC they have free outdoor movies and concerts but you need to look at their calendar for the dates. Also biking through Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove is fun too. Most parks and libraries offer free events as well like Shakespeare in the Park, Jazz, Dominoes, etc. If you have a digital camera then go out and take photos of your neighborhood and people. Churches and synagogues are free and open to the public too. When was the last time someone when there?

Fun things to do in Miami?

    Hey there everyone,

Just wondering what things there are to do in Miami, i'm 14 years old female and I love shopping but I also don't mind going to the tourist attractions. Could you recommend fun stuff to do there. Also what shops are good? Thank you!Fun things to do in Miami?
Surf? Hahaha clearly the people who are suggesting you go surfing here don't surf. We don't really get waves (but this time of the year does have some decent waves). Miami is like the worst place on the east coast to surf. But if you do try to surf, get a coach. We get some pretty bad rip currents here.

As far as malls go, I like Aventura a lot and Sawgrass is also a pretty big attraction. Lincoln Road is a nice place to shop as well, very chic. We have great beaches and the water doesn't get very cold so you can't go wrong with that.Fun things to do in Miami?

What are some fun things to do in Miami?

I am 18 so I don't think there are any clubs or bars I can get into... Are there any malls, fun shops, or anything like that? Website? What are some fun things to do in Miami?
There are lots of clubs you can get into if you're 18, but you can't (legally) drink. If that's not your thing, there are lots of places for shopping. Lincoln Road in Miami Beach is a popular pedestrian street with many trendy shops and restaurants. There are also various interesting museums in Miami Beach (I recommend the Wolfsonian), and even a large erotic art museum if you are adventurous. See if there are any concerts on during your visit - the big names tend to play at the Jackie Gleason Theatre. If you cross the water to mainland Miami, you'll find Bayside, a popular outdoor mall. I'd also suggest you check out Calle Ocho in Little Havana, and get some authentic Cuban food (get the ropa vieja at Versailles). If you want to go to a traditional mall, Aventura Mall is the 5th largest in the US. You can visit Vizcaya, a mansion (now a museum) with an illustrious history. There are numerous companies offering boat tours, and if you have the funds you can even rent a boat. If you have time, a trip down to the Keys is worth it, and you can go snorkeling on a coral reef.

Sorry about the disorganized mess that this post became, but I hope it helps! Enjoy your trip! What are some fun things to do in Miami?
Well there is alot!! to do if your 18 u could get into some clubs that are 18 and over.. there is bay-side, they have a party boat that's only $20 the entrance.. there is dolphin mall!! is huge and everyone goes there ,there is the beach at night is alot of fun.. you could go ice skating is now very popular here, you could go paint balling ,fishing... you could go and ride atvs ,there is alot to do here if you have any other question feel free to askWhat are some fun things to do in Miami?

Best things to see in Miami?

And best things to do in Miami?Best things to see in Miami?
there's plenty, besides the beaches. we have the lighthouse at bill baggs state park. deering estate, vizcaya, metro zoo, parrot jungle island, monkey jungle, miami seaquarium, bayside, the everglades is a staple in south florida, indian preservations, museum of science, coconut grove. have fun!Best things to see in Miami?
Not much... in South Beach, walking on Lincoln Rd and Ocean Ave, and going to the beach, and partying, and eating lots of good food. You could just stay in the beach area and be satisfied with your trip to Miami. Otherwise, I really love visiting the Vizcaya house in the Coconut Grove-ish area... yeeeah.Best things to see in Miami?
the beach, miami seaquarium, miami metro zoo, malls, movie theatersBest things to see in Miami?
how about the cruise ship port and the American Airlines Arena
    Beaches?I think.

How can you guys look at a picture of empty lower level seats and then say Miami has bad attendance?

LOL do you know how much those seats cost? And I'm pretty sure rich people in MIAMI have better things to do then worry about basketball. Just another reason to hateHow can you guys look at a picture of empty lower level seats and then say Miami has bad attendance?
Bragging about how many people show up to your games is stupid. The Pacers sold out their playoff games, but they lost in the 1st Round. What's your point? How can you guys look at a picture of empty lower level seats and then say Miami has bad attendance?
The Lakers fill those seats, and I'm guessing those tickets cost more in Lakerland than they do in Miami.
Nah rich people go to basketball games to get more attention by getting on tvHow can you guys look at a picture of empty lower level seats and then say Miami has bad attendance?
I was going to answer this question but then I saw what you wrote. 100% agree. You can guarantee the top and middle tiers are packed lol.
Doesnt matter i would rather go to one exciting ball game then going to the beach in miamiHow can you guys look at a picture of empty lower level seats and then say Miami has bad attendance?
Why don't you Bull fans just STFU. They Didn'nt even freaking start game 1 yet, and you guys are talking trash, and who gives a Freak if we have the lowest fanbase, what matters is whos the best.
most other big cities fill those seats....

Chicago does, New York does, Boston does, Detroit does, Dallas does, it may take a while for them to show up becuz of work, but L.A. does...

BJB proved the bandwagon argument; look at the difference btwn the attendance by MIA fans in 2010 and the attendance they had in 2011....
can you please tell me what rank the heat are on this list?
    http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance/_/year鈥?/a>

u know whats sad? cleveland beat you this year too
    http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance
but those seats are always full in any other arena
Miami fans are the only basketball fans that don't care as much for the game.

MIAMI FLORIDA: Places to go, things to see!?

What are some fun things to do that aren't expensive or cool things to see in Miami? Besides beaches and malls and stuff. Are there any fun festivals that don't cost much to go to? Or just anything at all besides the beaches and shopping centersMIAMI FLORIDA: Places to go, things to see!?
Miami MetroZoo is fast becoming one of the best zoos in the nation. Its climate allows it to keep a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa like no other zoo in the country. One of the first free-range zoos in the country, the exhibits are entirely cageless. Animals are grouped according to their geographic territory and animals that live together peacefully in the wild are placed in exhibits together.

With 1.5 million acres of swamps, saw-grass prairies and sub-tropical jungles, Everglades National Park is one of the most unusual public parks in the United States. Located on the southern tip of Florida, the park is home to 14 rare and endangered species, including the American Crocodile, the Florida Panther and the West Indian Manatee. A large portion of the park is primitive, explored only by adventurists and researchers 鈥?but visitors have ample opportunity to walk, camp and canoe.

Coral Castle is truly a monument to the uniqueness of Miami! This attractions was built by a Latvian-born Miami resident named Ed Leedskalnin as a monument to his lover. After 28 years of effort, he introduced his 1100-ton coral creation to the world. It's a bit of a trip from downtown, but well worth the time.

Since the 1920s, Miami Beach has been synonymous with glamour, glitz and non-stop sun. The epicenter of the beach is really on the barrier island鈥檚 south end, which is why South Beach is really what people mean when they refer to Miami Beach. At 17 blocks long and 12 blocks wide, South Beach is a perfect place for a walk.

you will want to see south beach. also rent a car so you can get around easier / save on taxi fares. there are tons of things to do. the alligator airboat thing is fun. miami also has a zoo. the h abitats are designed different than any other zoo. it will be hot in august though! you might be able to get on a 2-3 day cruise from miami to carribean. you can also get a same day cruise / return to bahamas. i think la rosa is the best cuban restaurant in miami. there is another fancier cuban place owned by gloria estavan that has a bit more ambiance/atmosphere. you can drive to fort lauderdale, orlando or go down to the Keys. you will have enough money. it's like anywhere you travel in the world you can stay as frugile as you would like and live as extravagantly as you wish. have fun.

For our second cruise we flew to miami the day before and spent the night in a hotel. Miami was alot of fun. We did alot of shopping, saw Versace's house, and just walked along ocean drive (the main street in miami right near the ocean !). We also did a tour of the everglades when our cruise was over because our flight was later in the day. It was fun being on one of those lil boats with alligators all around us, a bit scary too but once in a lifetime opportunity ! • So when is USC going to play a quality opponent?

I for the life of me cannot understand how you can be the top team in the nation if you don't play any team of quality. This is the same thing that Miami did in the '90's that lead us to the BCS, which by the way USC and AP agreed with. Yet if USC goes undefeated becasue they don't play a quality team in a bowl game, AP will rank them #1.

Is this fair to the other teams that play quality teams and have 1 or even no losses?

I know I would be embarrassed to call my team the best if they were only best in the media and not on the field. So when is USC going to play a quality opponent?
I couldn't of said it any better myself....pre-season polls are junk and kill the game. LSU has to go through a BRUTAL SEC schedule to stay on top, along with alot of other schools, but USC plays no body worth while. The Pac-10 is a joke, the toughest team in Cal and they can't play defense. I just enjoy the games for what they are now. Ranking mean nothing. So when is USC going to play a quality opponent?
The polls are ridiculous. Shouldn't Florida be ranked #1?
They can't and wont change conferences, so that is beyond their control. In recent years they have scheduled Nebraska, Arkansas and Auburn out of confernce. All top teir programs. The games are scheduled 5-10 years in advance, so they have no control over how good the team will be the particular year they play them. They have Ohio State next year. I am not a USC fan, but they do try to have one of the tougher schedules. Also they play ND every year. Just because they have sucked as of late, it isn't USC's fault. So when is USC going to play a quality opponent?
To be fair their schedule is much tougher than Oklahoma and WVU's schedule.
I love the fact that everyone thinks that USC is not for real. This east-coast bias always makes me laugh because they hate the fact that a west coast team is the best team in the nation!!! LSU fan is mad because the wish they were USC.

Everyone last week was banking on the fact that Nebraska was going to upset USC and what happened, they punched in the face with just running the ball. Then they say that USC can pass. So Booty throws for 4 touchdowns. The scary thing about USC is that there not even in sync yet. They are about two games from being at there full potential and once they get there there will be no team in the Nation that will even come close to beating this team.

So all you east coast hacks, keep hating keep commenting that USC is not for real. Its only going to make your 2007 college football season very miserable!!!!!!So when is USC going to play a quality opponent?
The top 5 or so teams seem to never meet up except in the SEC and in bowl games. I think the hype of Nebraska being a major challenge for USC was ridiculous - why, because they split a championship like 15 years ago they're supposed to have a good chance to beat a current #1? I do think if you want your team to be considered top 5 you should at least be scheduling 1 ranked team for your non-conference play, which USC has been doing lately, so I think they're legit.

But schedule too many tough teams just to boost your image and you may end up humiliated like ND when you find out you can't actually beat them!
Be a little objective and you could see. First off USC can not predict the future when scheduling. How can they tell how good Nebraska or ND will be five or more years from now? On paper those schools are usually good.

Then you have Cal (beat Tenn) ranked #6, Oregon ranked #11, ASU #25 games coming up. I believe Nebraska is still ranked.

You should focus on Ohio State or Oklahoma who will have easier schedules then USC and maybe undefeated.
Good question man...i was wondering the same thing. I honestly think they wont play a quality opponent until the BCS title game. Unless their upset by then, and John David Booty is way overrated. There is no way that Notre Dame is a quality opponent haha!!
2 quality teams comming up in the next 3 weeks in oregon and cal. although one of them will have a loss they are both still capable of knocking off the trojans. i think that oregon will be the undefeated team and they pose real problems for usc with their quickness on offense and their secondary on defense. they are gonna be a real problem for usc.

    QUACK DAMNIT!!!!!!
are you kidding?? FL has only played ONE top 25 team, TN #22 AT HOME...you call W KY and Troy a "quality opponent"???? how about BARELY beating unranked MISS whose only win was by 2 points over Memphis!!!! you call that a quality win???

    youre an idiot!

way to make yourself look like just another uneducated, ignorant southern moron who only knows SEC football and doesnt have the mind to pull his head out of his @$$ b4 he opens his mouth.

CAL is ranked #6, OR is #10 and ASU is #23 (Harris Interactive poll, the only poll out that actually will effect the BCS rankings)...you still stand behind your ignorant comment??

how about destroying NE on THEIR FIELD!!!!

you think a home victory over a TN is bigger than a road victory over NE???

go back to your bait shop, pull your head out and the leave the football talk to those who know football.

    good day.

    ***

if theres a media bias against the SEC, why does the SEC have more ranked teams than any other conf?? if there was such a bias, wouldnt the PAC-10, ACC or Big East be the most ranked conf??? and speaking of coasts, do you really not know where FL, SC, and GA are located??thanks for setting yourself up, again. trust me, you dont know 1/100000000 what i know about college football.

Honeymoon in Miami--Suggestions of Things To Do?

I will be in Miami the week of July 15-21, anyone know of anything exciting, fun, romantic we could do? I was thinking about scuba diving, but I have never been and dont know the requirements.Honeymoon in Miami--Suggestions of Things To Do?
Coast on down to the keys if you have a chance, its about an hour or so out of miami and a very simple drive (very difficult to get lost). You can jet ski, parasail, other waters things. You can pretty much drive south and you will see some many places offer different adventures.

There is this WONDERFUL swim with the dolphins place in Islamorada, FL (this is about 90 minutes outside of Miami). Its called Theather of the Sea! Great place.

Also, In miami we just opened up our Grand Opera House so you can check that out as well.

Bayside is always a fun place to go, downtown and the beaches are always awake and partying if your into that scene.

Biscayne has a great beach where you can relax and some great resturants. They also have the new parrot jungle (its not just for kids).

But when I think of romance I have to say hotels!

Here are some of the MOST amazing hotels in Miami

Mayfair in coconut groove (if you choose to stay here book the room with the Patio Jacuzzi) Very beautiful and romantic. There spa is great, you can do couple massages.

The Maderian Oriental (I love it there, the views are really nice, you can also ask them to toss rose petels in the room before you arrive) They spa is also wonderful, I really think it could be the BEST spa in Miami.

Ritz Carlton in Biscayne. I havent stayed at this hotel, but since its ritz it must be nice. I have been at the hotel and its top notch.

Grove Isle Hotel (located on a private Island). I just learned about this hotel and according to their website they are really nice!

Well, Congrats and Welcome to Miami! Have Fun and Be Safe!Honeymoon in Miami--Suggestions of Things To Do?
