How Do I Stay In The Moment?

Like i was Doin a Monologue %26amp; as i was Recting it i started to Cry %26amp; i Started to think like what if this was happening to my mom %26amp; i just u know ran with it but after that i Lost iT...like i just Sounded Plain



ERIC: I don鈥檛 like the way he bullies you Ma. (beat) What鈥檚 he gotta push you around like that for? 鈥 saw him Mom, I heard him push you and I heard you scream at him. You didn鈥檛 think I was home, I was home. I DON鈥橳 LIKE HIM! He鈥檚 no good for you or this family. Send him back wherever he came from, he鈥檚 a total shitbag and I can鈥檛 stand him!



He鈥檚 abusive. He鈥檚 changing you Mom. He鈥檚 pulling us apart from one another. Don鈥檛 you see any of this? Jesus Christ! I鈥檓 trying to tell you something, can鈥檛 you pay attention to me Mom?! PLEASE! I鈥檓 your son, listen to what I鈥檓 saying to you鈥?look at me, Ma. Mom, please, just鈥?.RRRRRRAAAAA!!!!! Son of a鈥攜ou see? Mnnnnnrrrrr, what I鈥檓 talking about? There鈥檚 no communication anymore. Nobody knows how to talk to anybody. It鈥檚 always shouting and violence. It was never like that when pop was around. (beat) I know he wasn鈥檛 great but at least he didn鈥檛 beat you鈥?br>

Mom, please, I love you, can鈥檛 we just go鈥et鈥檚 jut get out of here. You know? **** this guy. I鈥檓 sorry for cursing but **** this guy Ma. Look at me. It鈥檚 been you and me since forever. We don鈥檛 need nobody but eachother. You hear me? I love you Mom. Please, I love you. I鈥檒l take care of you. I鈥檒l quit school, get a job. I鈥檒l help you pay the bills. Come on, it鈥檚 not too late; we can start again鈥his time we鈥檒l make better choices Mom. Are you with me? Yeah? You hear me? We can just grab what we need and leave. Start a new life Mom. Just you and me like the old day. Right? Just us. We can do this Mom. Come on, I need you to be strong. Haven鈥檛 you always taught me to be strong? Yeah? Okay, well I can鈥檛 be strong without ya. Alright? I need you and you need me. I swear, I鈥檒l never let anybody else ever hurt you. You hear me? We can do this Mom. Together.

Listen, he goes to play golf this Saturday. **** 鈥榚m. Okay, okay, sorry with the curs鈥攚e鈥檒l take off then. I have like a thousand dollars saved up in cash from all the lawns I鈥檝e been mowing this summer. Plus, I know you have two grand cause of what you told me last week; so there. That鈥檚 three thousand dollars and a new life. Right? I鈥檒l plan the whole thing out. Okay. Miami. I heard alot of good things about Miami lately. What do you think? Interested in some fun in the sun? (he smiles) Okay. Then that鈥檚 what we鈥檒l go for.

Well, what I could say is that just relax and don't think about, I know it's hard to because that's what life is, but we can't controll alot of what happens in our life and what all of our future holds us, but we can try our best to prevent certain things from happening. If someday your mom meets a new guy and you don't think that he'll be so good tell your mom about it before she falls for the guy and tell her to watch out for any signs of abuse or violence that he may be showing and don't go on with him and to find a better guy that won't do any of that stuff.. or just go on with you and her.



I'd say don't worry about it until it actually does start to happen.. it's normal to be consened about them types of things and think about how you can prevent them from happening, but you shouldn't actually be real worried about something until it starts to happen.. it's normal to worry, but just relax and hope for the best and that you don't have to go through something like this and if you just so happen to go through it.. just do what that boy said and try to convence her to leave him.



And just remember that everything happens for some kind of reason and some things we just gotta let go and put into God's hands.
