Acting/Modeling In florida Help ME PLZ i Need it?

I live in haines city florida and i want to act alot of the things are in miami and orlando tampa and i dont know how to get an agent i really need help i dont know what to do i want to be an actor im 15 years old since yesterday and iit feels my time is running up so help plz and thank you.

Have you done any acting at all? Community theater, high school plays, anything? Any experience is good experience at this point. If you don't have any acting training, look into classes at the local college or a private acting coach with the industry experience to back up their coaching.



Start by contacting talent or modeling agencies in the nearest good-sized city to where you live. There are agencies in a lot of smaller towns, but you want ones that can actually get you work.



They should be able to provide you with a list of companies they've provided talent for, and commercials that their people have been in. If they refuse, citing confidentiality or whatever nonsense, they are not a legitimate agency.



Do NOT sign with anyone who asks you for money. Period. Reputable agencies make money from their percentages when you work. And no, don't pay for their classes to 'train' you.



An agency will expect you to pay a photographer (not someone they employ) to take a good black and white headshot of you.



Keep in mind that a good agent will tell you what your chances of getting work will be. Agents who are trying to sell you classes or get you to fork over a signing fee will always tell you that you'll work a ton, that you might be a star, the next big thing. A real agent knows the industry, and will know after looking at you, observing you, and talking with you, if you have any hope of really working or not.
