I plan on taking a trip to Miami Florida ? Do you know of some things to do in this area in August?

Is this spot overated ? Or will I really see the beautiful beaches or beautiful sight seeing. Also, what are some activities that usually go on around this time.I plan on taking a trip to Miami Florida ? Do you know of some things to do in this area in August?
there will be a salsa congress event going on in august in miami.. not sure the dates but i think its the 2nd weekend in august.. if u diont know how to dance they offer classes, and have shows and a dance at night.. yes u gotta pay! have fun.I plan on taking a trip to Miami Florida ? Nope its not overrated, trust me i live here. Go to miami beach, south beach, and key largo for the beautiful beaches. For a fun and awesome nightlife go to south beach, ocean drive, and downtown. Also you can spend a day or two in different resorts or hotels near beaches. Around this time theres like this salsa thing lol. well good luck!

I just told another soon to be visitor to Miami that the best place to stay is in Hollywood fla.. it is on the beach and is the only truely open beach in south florida.. you can find a good rate at the hollywood beach hotel if you want to be a little pricey or at the Howard johnsons hotel.. but there are many great smaller hotels or motels to stay at for a very reasonable sum.. the hollywood beach is the only accessable beach from the street.. A1A.. the beach is wonderful.. plus you are just a few minutes from Ft Lauderdales beach and bars to the north and only a few more minutes from south beach in Miamibeach or Miami itself.. check out Hollywood fla.. on line.. stay there and you will be close to everything you want to see but still be out of the nightmare traffic.. check it out.. and have a good trip.. oh.. you will find plenty to do..trust me..
You may also want to go to sw 8st to eat some typical cuban food and experience cuban culture. You can go to bayside mall in downtown miami next to the miami heat arena. It has a nice water vew.I plan on taking a trip to Miami Florida ? Do you know of some things to do in this area in August?
First of all, bring lots of sunblock and a portable fan. It will be hot as heck! And, be sure to kiss your good hair days goodbye before you go! :)



Secondly, Miami is not really seasonal. Since it's not ever really "cold", no activities are limited to a certain season, so that's good news for you! Check out Miami Beach, and if you have the time, take a little trip down to Key West (it's a 4 hour drive, or there is also a bus line that goes down there in mini-buses.)



As for the person who recommended that you stay in Hollywood... I have one thing to say about that. That person is wrong! Hollywood is great (I used to live there), and it's great if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay. However, you can also find that anywhere else you go. There is NOTHING to do there that's within walking distance. There are no hot clubs, there are no great bars, and trust me on this- you WILL BE BORED! Hollywood is best for an older traveler, who isn't that interested in going out, and just wants to sit on a tranquil beach, away from crowds. That's it. If you want to see what the hype is about, go to South Beach in Miami, or even Ft. Lauderdale Beach.
